Stage / Event Videography
Shenandoah Video offers schools, dance studios, churches and small organizations videography of their events at no cost if the event is being recorded to sell to participants and their families. All we ask is that we are granted permission to set up a table in a prominent location during the event and offer copies of the video for sale on DVD (other requirements are listed below).
Upon request, we can provide a full-length DVD of one of our previous programs for your review. Contact us for a free copy or with any additional questions that you may have. We are fully insured and licensed by the County of Humboldt. References are also available upon request.
Benefits of Our Program:
~ There is no cost to the school, business or organization.
~ No minimum sales requirement.
~ No contract required, but we can be contracted for multiple programs.
~ Up to three complimentary DVDs provided for the event director(s).
~ Cost of DVDs sold range from $10.00 to $40.00 depending upon the length and complexity of the event.
~ Events are shot with two or three high definition professional video cameras.
~ Order forms are available from us via email, (in most cases, as early as three weeks before the show), to “get the word out” about the DVD availability. Orders may also be placed securely through our website ordering page.
~ If our schedule allows, we attend any program rehearsals or run-throughs to better place our cameras and to get a “feel” for the program and any choreography.
~ If the program is being performed multiple times, we may tape more than once – allowing us to choose from the best footage / performance.
~ If provided to us, the order forms may contain the school or organization’s logo to show their endorsement for providing our service to their patrons.
~ Every attempt is made to be sure that each participant receives “camera time” on the final video.
~ While numerous angles and close-ups are taped, we make every effort to preserve choreography.
~ All artwork is professionally designed and tailored to each program.
~ Most DVDs contain menus for song / performance selection.
~ A credit roll will contain the names of all participants and crew (if provided by the program coordinators).
~ In most cases, the final event DVD is presented in stereo.
~ Timetable for completion of final product is usually within 6 weeks after event date. Longer processing times may occur during busier times of the year (December & May).
~ In most cases, orders are mailed directly to customers upon completion.

Requirements:
To qualify for this program, we ask the following:
For audio capture – a “line level” signal via 1/8″, 1/4″, XLR or RCA output directly from the event sound system containing all source tracks used for the event be available. We have experience in sound engineering if there are questions as to how this can be provided. Depending on the type of event, we may also utilize our own audio recording system.
A working, 3-prong 120V electrical outlet available for our use.
The program booklet or guide handed out or sold to patrons contain an ad provided by Shenandoah Video (**this is not required for public school-sponsored events**).
Shenandoah Video retains all creative rights to final DVD edit.
The cast, performances and program order, tech notes or run-down be provided to Shenandoah Video for reference when editing (this can be in the form of a program).
A CD or digital file of all musical accompaniment be provided for soundtrack enhancement.
